Our Silkies

Our primary group of birds came from George Mihalik. Several more good birds came from Rhea Dean Carter and he purchased and bred his birds from George Mihalik's stock . In 2008 we are adding several select birds from Kathy Alatis- Dills from Ohio and lavenders from  Bren Cambell with Cozy Silkies. You never know what I might decide we must have in the future. Our first year showing was fun but most of the birds were chicks I had purchased. In the fall of 2007 we had the most fun because these were birds we raised from our flock. It will continue this way. We do not buy birds just to show them.
Breeding birds to compete is what we are about. We do not sell eggs and won't. We are not past giving a few away for fun but eggs are not sold. Birds I do sell help support this hobby and that is about it. There is no profit in breeding these birds unless your time is worth nothing. To us its about exhibition and the great times getting there.Improving what you have and setting goals for your family should be the focus and nothing else when it comes to exhibiting. Its a great thing when you can sit back and enjoy these birds and know what you have done to benefit the breed.
We are lucky enough to live in a nice place and anytime someone is in the area feel free to call us and stop by!  We have nothing to hide and hope you enjoy our birds as much as we do.We always enjoy the company and always love learning something new.
I am not a very good cook but you are welcome to it! Rod is the better cook  but we do have a microwave so I can make something!
