Black Silkies
Well... I would have to say I do not have a favorite but if I did these would be close. Blacks are not easy at all. Sometimes you might get a off color in the hackle or you might not get the color depth you are looking for. All of my black birds are Mihalik Birds. I have a couple of George's retired hens here. They are enjoying the good life as he would call it! I raised a few good black birds myself in 2007 and a couple of them are staying home and remaining with us for awhile! Enjoy the pictures and understand not only are blacks not the easiest to raise they are hard to photograph. Some of these birds will get a retake in a few months when they get their crests and tails back!
